A very simple and quick recipe for cooking mackerel in foil on charcoal.
Ingredients:
- Mackerel – 1 pc.
- Onion – 1 pc.
- Carrot – 1 pc.
- Lemon (half)
- Spices for fish – to taste
- Salt – to taste
- Sour cream – 1-2 tbsp. l.
- Vegetable oil – 1 tsp
Cooking:
- Prepare the fish, wash it and gut it.
- We chop the onion, three carrots on a grater, add sour cream to the onion and carrots, salt a little, mix.
- We make cuts on the fish.
- Sprinkle fish with any spice “for fish”, salt.
- Cut half a lemon into slices and insert them into the cuts on the fish.
- We add the filling of onions and carrots inside the fish, then what is left over I sometimes spread on the sides of the fish.
- Lubricate the foil and fish with vegetable oil.
- We wrap the mackerel with foil and put it directly into the heat of the fire for about 30 minutes, 15 minutes on each side.
